If this book is being read right now, it does not at all mean that I am dead, or dying, or am in desperate need of telling my story. It merely means that you, the reader, have stumbled across my personal journal. You may be quite disappointed to read that it lacks any torrid romances. You also may be upset when I tell you that it does not contain any confessions of heinous crimes of passion, though those are often and mundane here at the Shorn Butterfly. If I have already disheartened you, I apologize. I confess that I’m a pretty boring individual, but then again, this is my journal. I don’t care if anyone reads it, but I’m not going to write to entertain. Clear as mud? Good.
